Is Insurance Available?
Sorry but we do not offer insurance to protect the renter. In many cases your auto policy or homeowners policy may offer a option for insuring a rental boat. You will be liable for any and all damage to the boat during your rental.
Are there any additional fees or taxes?
Yes. The 9% Chicago tax will be added to the total amount of your rental.
Do I have to fill up the gas?
No. We have a fuel meter on the boats so we know how much fuel was used during the rental. You will be charged for the fuel used based on the current fuel prices in the harbor
Can other people drive the boat?
You may add 1 additional driver who is over the age of 25 with a valid license.
Can I pull a tube or skier behind the boat?
Sorry but our boats are not built for that. This is strictly forbidden.
Can I bring Glass on the boat?
No Glass is allowed. Coolers will be checked for the protection of you and future renters.
Is alcohol allowed?
Yes alcohol is allowed but you must follow the local and federal laws about drinking and boating. A OWI will result in a forfeit of deposit.
Is there a cooler I can use?
Sure. We have a 60qt cooler you can use or you are welcome to bring your own.
Is there parking at the harbor?
Yes there is paid parking at 31st Street Harbor and accross the street.
